During a recent segment of CNBC's Kudlow & Cramer, the dynamic duo interviewed a guy who edited a book of Ronald Reagan's letters. His name escapes me, but one insightful comment he made has stuck with me. He said he has met many bright people who couldn't write, but he has never met a person who could write who wasn't bright.

Ronald Reagan, therefore, is a bright man.

So am I.

Considering the year I've had, that's a reassuring thought.
